If You Were Mary

Today in church, our pastor talked about Mary.  One interesting thing he brought up was that Mary would have been as young as 13 or no older than 17.  Pretty amazing if you think about it.
I wonder how old Joseph was.  Anyway, the important thing to learn from Mary is that she treasured what she had learned in her heart and then pondered the things.  What do those words mean treasure and ponder?  Sean said out that treasured in this sense meant "to spend time meditating and concentrating on the things" and pondering would have encompassed all the events that had happened up until that time.  This puts an interesting spin on treasuring and pondering.  How many things do I treasure in my heart?  What do I spend my time on?  How does that all come together for me?  Things to think about in the new year.
