Holiday Blues

Does everyone get a little down near the holidays?  I was talking to a friend this morning and maybe should would have felt down anyway, but she was feeling blue today.  I found myself this afternoon feeling the same way.  Is it  because we build the holidays up in our mind to be more than they should?  It is not the presents or anything, I think it is the disappointment over some familial relationships that have never and will never be what they should or could have been.  I know this is a time to focus on the Christ child, His birth, and what it means to me and for me.  That always sounds so easy.  It is much harder to put into practice.

Hope tomorrow looks a bit brighter.
