Christmas Eve

Do you ever wonder about the Christmas traditions in your family?  My family has changed a great deal over the last few years and many of our traditions have gone by the wayside.

At first, I was very resistant to the changes, but now I have grown accustomed to them and actually like some of the "new" ways we do things.  Tonight we will all go to church at 5 and then head over to my mom's for some chicken enchiladas and a couple of presents for the kids.  Tomorrow, we will get up and open Santa gifts with the kids.  Then Sean's mom and dad will be coming by for lunch.  In the evening, we will go back down to my parents for a big dinner with the whole family.  That should be interesting.  

Tonight, I will lay in bed and reflect on the birth of the Christ Child and what His birth meant so long ago and what it means for me now.  I will rejoice in His coming before drifting off to sleep.
